Origin Immigration Consulting Ltd is an immigration consultancy located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We focus exclusively on immigration law, providing immigration and citizenship advice and representation to individuals and corporations, in all aspects of Canadian immigration law.

We assist clients worldwide to come to Canada, either temporarily – to visit, work or study, or those wishing to move here permanently, through the one of the many federal and provincial immigration programs available.

We represent our clients in applications, hearings and appeals before Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

What We Do

At Origin Immigration Consulting Limited, our areas of practice are Immigration Applications, Citizenship, Visa Refusals and Inadmissibility, and Corporate Immigration Solutions.

We regularly prepare and submit applications for individuals to obtain temporary resident status, permanent residence, and citizenship status in Canada as follows:

• Permanent Residence through Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class and Federal Skilled Trades Program;
• Spousal and Family Sponsorship;
• Work Permits requiring a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA);
• Work Permits for intra-company transferees and NAFTA professionals;
• Work Permits for accompanying spouses and dependent children;
• Study Permits; and
• Temporary Residence Visas.

We provide advice and representation services to resolve issues of inadmissibility, at any stage in proceedings, visa refusals and for clients in urgent circumstances.

Accreditations

ICCRC is the national regulatory body designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to regulate the immigration and citizenship consulting professions. These service providers are known as Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs).

Origin Immigration Consulting Ltd is managed by Pamela McGarrigle, LLB, RCIC. She has a substantial career background working with the law and its application in legislative scrutiny, research and analysis roles in both national and local government roles in the UK, and in corporate management in Canada. Her keen interest in human rights, civil liberties and social justice together with her personal experience as immigrant to Canada has contributed to her interest in working in immigration law.

Pamela is authorized and regulated as a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) and is a member in good standing of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants and the Immigration Education Alliance.
