A business visitor is someone who comes to Canada to engage in international business activities without directly entering the Canadian labour market.

For example someone who comes to Canada to meet people from companies doing business, to observe site visits.  Alternatively, a Canadian company for training may have invited them, sales or other functions related to a business transaction.

Requirements

You may need to apply for an eTA or visa to come to Canada –   All foreign nationals entering Canada as a temporary resident are required to obtain a visa, unless otherwise exempted.  All foreign nationals who are visa-exempt are required to obtain an eTA to travel to Canada by air.

Your stay in Canada must not exceed 6 months.

You will be required to prove that your main source of income and your main place of business is outside Canada.

You must have a valid travel document, such as a passport.

You must have enough money for our stay and to return home.

You must prove that you are not a criminal, security or health risk to Canadians.
